Almost 35,000 Food Assistance Packages From the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation Provided to IDPs in the Humanitarian Hubs of Donetsk Region Throughout Ukraine

During the summer, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation provided almost 35,000 food assistance packages for IDPs from Donetsk region. People received this help in 25 humanitarian hubs and centres of territorial communities across the country.


Namely, in the following centres: “With Bakhmut in my heart”, “#I_will_return_to_Bakhmut”, “Our Kramatorsk”, “Unity Humanitarian Hub”. This list also includes the humanitarian centres of Volnovakha, Ocheretyne, Avdiivka and Maryinka military administrations, as well as other support centres for IDPs.


The priority recipients of the food assistance are low-income families, families with children, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable categories of citizens.


The food assistance was handed out in Dnipro, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, Poltava, and other cities of Ukraine where humanitarian hubs operate. In some locations, the distribution of this batch of food assistance continues.


Each survival package contains some essential nutritious food items, such as sugar, salt, flour, groats, pasta, cookies, canned beans, stewed meat, and pate.


Since 2014, the Foundation has given out 13 million food assistance packages to Ukrainians. Over this period, the aid from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM businesses and Shakhtar football club reached more than 18 million people.


The assistance is provided within the framework of the program Rinat Akhmetov – Saving Lives.
