Volunteers of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center deliver humanitarian aid to residents of Volnovakha raion

Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center continues providing assistance to civilian population of the armed conflict areas in the East of Ukraine. Recently the teams of mobile volunteers visited "grey zone" settlements in Donetsk region. More than 700 residents of Buhas, Lisne, Pilne and Pivdennodonbaska in Volnovakha raion receive their food packages. For many of them this is practically the only source of livelihood.

The living conditions are really difficult here: there are frequent interruptions with electricity, mobile communications, the roads are broken and there's no decent transport connection.

According to local residents, if it were not for the Center's support, people would have to starve.

"We start making up the menu out of humanitarian food before we even receive our food package. Thanks a lot to Rinat Akhmetov for helping us. I have no idea how we would survive without it", - local resident Oleksandr shares.

This time mobile teams delivered 37 children packages and 701 survival kits for adults.

In May 2017 the mobile teams of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center will visit 45 settlements. They will deliver 10,600 food packages to local residents.

As a reminder, over the entire period of its operation Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued 11.7 million food packages on both sides of the contact line. The aid was received by more than one million people. The Humanitarian Center's mobile teams started their operation in May 2015. This format of food package delivery allows helping people in the places where it is impossible to open fixed issuing points.
