Metinvest Group gave additional UAH 10 million for the restoration of Avdiivka, which suffered due to shelling. Since the beginning of this year the company has already invested in the town's reconstruction works more than UAH 8 million.

Supported by Metinvest Group, Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Plant (AKKhZ) restored two apartment buildings, carried out reconstruction works in the central municipal hospital and local palace of culture. The works on the restoration of two schools, a kindergarten, the centre of arts for children and youth and a musical school are at the final stage. 11 apartment buildings are being repaired. An expertise has been carried out, and design and estimate documentation for the restoration of 19 more buildings and repair of communications in 49 houses is already prepared.

The Coke and Chemical Plant is providing the residents of private housing sector with free construction materials, so they can conduct the repair works on their own.

Altogether, taking into account the additional UAH 10 mln, AKKhZ is planning to repair roofs, supporting walls, floor slabs, heating and water supply systems in 50 multi-storey buildings, more than 30 private houses and nine social objects (hospitals, schools, kindergartens, cultural institutions) as part of Avdiivka reconstruction activities.
