A photo about Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center’s operation is awarded at the prestigious photographic exhibition

For the second time Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center and SCM Group took part in the photo exhibition organized by "Development of Corporate Social Responsibility" Centre.

The first exhibition called "The role of business in the country's development" was held in 2015. This year the photo exhibition called "Business that changes the country" gathered the largest companies of the country again, and they got a chance to present their social and environmental projects not in the thick volumes of economic data, but through photos.

Original photos clearly demonstrate that the country needs business structures not only to pay taxes. During this difficult time they are ready to contribute to the support and become a powerful engine for Ukraine's development.

"We want socially responsible business to inspire other companies, demonstrating how small steps can have a big influence and change the country", ‒ Maryna Saprykina, Director at "Development of Corporate Social Responsibility" Centre, says.

To make this contest a reality, professional jury started photo selection process in April 2016, accepting photos from the companies that, in jury’s opinion, reflect different social responsibility campaigns the best. They include DTEK, FUIB, Lifecell mobile operator, Oschadbank, Ukrsibbank, Auchan Ukraine, Eva and Foxtrot supermarket chains, Bayer, 1+1 media, 'Vasyl Kisil and Partners' legal firm.

Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center sent its photo reports as well.  The Humanitarian Center, established on August 6, 2014, united the resources and potential of SCM Group, Shakhtar Football Club and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for Development of Ukraine to provide maximum assistance to all civilians in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, affected by the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine.

A strong emotional photo of a child, presented by Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center, was given a special award at the exhibition opening on July 1. The photographer Danylo Pavlov captured a moment when a small resident of Buhas village in Volnovakha raion, Donetsk region, was receiving humanitarian aid delivered by the Humanitarian Center's mobile teams. The photo presented at the exhibition is called "Donbas children: the adult view of the world".

The photo exhibition called "Business that changes the country" will be lasting till July 20 in the building of Kyiv Municipal State Administration located at: 36, Khreshchatyk str. (2nd floor).  Then the selected photos will be presented at the discussions on corporate social responsibility in five regions of Ukraine.
