"Thanks to the plate, everything will be fine": Rinat Akhmetov Foundation helps to treat a seriously injured resident of Toretsk community
In the summer, an enemy missile hit the house of Nataliia, a resident of the Toretsk community. She was taken to hospital with numerous serious injuries. Rinat Akhmetov Foundation helped with Nataliia's treatment by providing funding for a plate for an important surgical intervention.
"Thank you for your help with the plate. The doctor explained that the situation with my leg was difficult, everything was broken inside and I needed a plate. Some of my friends found out about Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. They called, explained the situation and asked for help. We are very grateful that they took care of us," says Nataliia.
Her neighbours pulled her out of the rubble and the military took her to hospital.
"I spent many days lying motionless. First on the hood, then after the first operation. The pain was so severe that I could go crazy, my soul was torn from what I had experienced and lost. If it wasn't for my husband and the medical staff, I wouldn't have made it. I have a long recovery ahead of me, but thanks to the plate, everything will be fine,’ says Nataliia.
As part of the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Wounded Adults programme, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation provides assistance to Ukrainians who have suffered from hostile shelling of residential areas: treatment, rehabilitation, psychological help, etc. Since 2014, the Foundation has provided treatment and rehabilitation to over 11,000 Ukrainians.
