14.06.2017

As part of its "Rehabilitation of Injured Children" project Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center continues helping Donbas children, who were injured due to hostilities. These children have an opportunity to take a rehabilitation course in Ukrainian health resorts, one of them is Velykyi Luh in Zaporizhia.

Five-year old Milana Abdurashytova from Mariupol arrived in this health resort as well. During the shelling in January 2015, the girl lost her mother who died covering her daughter with her body. Milana had her leg amputated. Now she's getting used to her new prosthesis and undergoing  another rehabilitation course that will help her to recover psychologically and strengthen the muscles.

"We are so thankful to the Humanitarian Center for helping us. Milan just crossed the threshold of the sanatorium and said: "I really like it here!". We were well received, fed and accommodated. The doctor already worked with us, made appointments, planned some procedures", – Olga Abdurashytova, Milana's grandmother, says.

This year, as part of "Rehabilitation of Injured Children" project of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center six children went through 21-day course of recovery procedures in health resorts. Till the end of June three more children will take a rehabilitation course.

"Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center is paying special attention to children who got injuries due to hostilities. Over the project implementation period 65 children got help with medical treatment in health resorts and rehabilitation equipment – orthoses and prostheses", – Vladyslav Denysenko, the Manager of "Targeted Assistance" direction, shared.
