Some time ago, his parents noticed that little Tymofii was not saying enough words for his age. Because of the danger, the family left the left bank of the Kherson region and went to the doctors in the new place. It turned out that their son was hard of hearing and needed hearing aids. ‘This is a huge help for us. Now my son will go to kindergarten, and I will be able to get a job,' says Tymofii's mother Kateryna.

According to Vladyslav Ustianskyi, a surgeon at the Hearing Centre, the boy hears sounds, but muffled and indistinct. This hinders the development of speech. 

‘A hearing aid compensates for hearing loss completely. It will give him the necessary frequencies. Thanks to the hearing aid, the child will develop better, start speaking normally and will be able to go to a regular school later,’ the doctor says.

Hearing assistance under Rinat Akhmetov to Children. I Can Hear Now project can be provided to children with hearing impairments under the age of 7 who live or have lived in territorial communities in the areas of hostilities, occupation or encirclement. More than 230 children have already received such assistance from the Foundation.
