Largest All-Ukrainian New Year Charity Campaign for Children From the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation Launched
A tradition of kindness and help spanning more than two decades: this is the New Year’s Campaign Rinat Akhmetov for Children, which reached out to more than a million boys and girls. Today, on the first day of December, the Campaign begins its new holiday season, and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation invites children from all over the country to join it!
“The war stole the light-hearted nature of their favourite holidays from the children of Ukraine. But even in the darkest times, children should believe in miracles. The New Year is a time of magic and hope, and we, adults, should do everything we can to bring the holiday back to children. Our Foundation’s New Year Campaign is designed to bring children joy and faith in the best. We want them to feel that they are not alone, that there is someone who thinks and cares about them. We, adults, are responsible for the future of our children. And we must do everything possible so that they grow up in a free, peaceful, and happy country,” emphasized Rinat Akhmetov, the founder of the Foundation.
Many festive events are planned for December. Already today, the New Year’s Campaign begins with A Call to Saint Nicholas event. Children can call the Saint, believed to be a fairy-tale wizard, tell him the stories about their life experiences amid the war, share their most cherished dreams and receive words of support. And win prizes! In a few days, children will be able to participate in another competition – A Letter to Saint Nicholas, if it is more convenient for some of them to address the Wonderworker in writing.
In the framework of the New Year’s Campaign, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation holds various festive and educational events for children who need support the most. In particular, the Foundation congratulates children from boarding schools, family-type children’s homes, and children from adoptive families on the New Year’s holidays. The format of the holiday greetings is rather diverse: it includes interesting master classes, fun quests, thematic performances, motivational speeches, educational videos, and useful gifts. In addition, thanks to the Campaign, children do not lose faith in miracles and find additional opportunities for development of their superpowers and megatalents.
The Foundation helps children not only on the occasion of holidays, but also throughout the year. Thanks to the program Rinat Akhmetov for Children, boys and girls have the opportunity to rest, get healthier and gain new knowledge during the sessions of the Blogger Camp, which is held in Zakarpattia for the second year in a row for children affected by the war. Children under the age of 7, who suffer from hearing impairment, receive ultra-modern hearing aids that are adjusted to their individual features. And those children who were wounded and injured as a result of armed hostilities undergo treatment and rehabilitation courses in specialized sanatoriums, provided by the Foundation.
In addition, all year round, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation gives children the opportunity to take their own steps into the future. Projects for children and teenagers provide new, interesting, useful knowledge and advice on finding motivation for self-development, help them find the profession of their dream, develop self-confidence, etc. For this purpose, the Foundation maintains the educational and entertainment Telegram channel Your Superpower and implements the educational series Your Super Profession.
