More than 4,000 Amvrosiivka civilians receive humanitarian aid
4,415 civilians in Amvrosiivka, Donetsk region, received humanitarian aid from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center. The Center's mobile team was operating in the town through July 4-6. Food packages were received by the most vulnerable categories of local civilians.
"It was the second trip of the Humanitarian Center's mobile volunteers to Amvrosiivka, as the demand for humanitarian aid hasn't reduced vs the previous period. For many families a food package from Rinat Akhmetov became a significant help. That's why the volunteers were working in the town during five weeks in the mode of semi-fixed issuing point. Over this period they issued 4,079 food packages for adults and 336 for children, to families with babies under 35 months old", ‒ Andriy Sanin, the Head of the Center's logistic warehouse at Donbas Arena in Donetsk, said.
During the first two weeks humanitarian aid from the Center was received by retired people only, to avoid longs queues and for the comfort of elderly people. After retired people received the packages, they were issued to all the other benefit-entitled categories.
"We try not only to deliver humanitarian aid, but to do it in the most convenient and safe way for the people, ‒ Andriy Sanin commented. – Over the year of mobile teams' operation, civilians of Amvrosiivka and the adjacent villages were delivered and issued 7,200 food packages".
Since July 6 the Center's mobile team started working in Novoazovsk raion and visited the settlements of Siedove settlement council (Siedove settlement, Kholodne and Obryv villages). It is planned to issue 3,000 more food packages till the end of the month in this district.
