More than 1.2 million children received greetings and gifts as part of the Rinat Akhmetov for Children New Year's campaign

The Rinat Akhmetov for Children All-Ukrainian New Year's Campaign is a tradition of kindness, help, and personal involvement that has been going on for more than two decades. Over this time, more than 1.2 million children from all over Ukraine have received New Year's and Christmas greetings and gifts.

In December 2023, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation congratulated more than 81 thousand children, including children in
- 10 orphanages that were evacuated from Donetsk region;
- 50 family-type children's homes;
- 17 "I am Mariupol" centres, all of which operate in Ukraine.

Gifts were also given to young internally displaced people at Metinvest Zaporizhzhia's Green Centre; children under the care of the Donetsk Regional State Administration; young participants in other Foundation projects; winners of the Call to St Nicholas and Letter to St Nicholas contests; and the My Ukraine essay contest.

The team of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation held 10 festive events with the presentation of gifts for nearly 400 displaced children from Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya regions, Mariupol, socially vulnerable categories, orphans, and children who lost their parents during the war.

The Foundation received a huge number of responses to the call for participation in the all-Ukrainian contests: more than 9.5 thousand letters and almost 2 thousand calls were received as part of the contests to St Nicholas. Useful gifts were raffled off among the participants.

The assistance is not limited to the winter holidays. Thus, within the framework of the Rinat Akhmetov for Children:
- Children have a rest, improve their health, and gain new knowledge at the Blogger Camp, which is held in Zakarpattia for children affected by the war;
- Children under the age of 7 with hearing impairments receive state-of-the-art hearing aids that are adjusted to the child's specific needs;
- Children who were wounded or injured as a result of hostilities undergo treatment and rehabilitation in health resorts provided by the Foundation.

In addition, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation provides children with the opportunity to take independent steps into the future all year round. Projects for children and teenagers provide knowledge and advice on motivating self-development, helping them find their dream profession, developing self-confidence, etc.
