Results of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation's food aid in 2023

24.01.2024

For almost ten years, since the first days of the war, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has been assisting civilians suffering from russian aggression. One of the most popular areas of this assistance is food parcels with the most essential items. Both internally displaced people and those who have not left the frontline areas are waiting for them.

Food aid from the Foundation is significant every year. 2023 was no exception - the second year of the exhausting full-scale invasion.
In 2023, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation handed over more than 300,000 food parcels to the people of Ukraine. The trucks made more than 260 trips to deliver them to the recipients.

The oldest food parcel recipient from the Foundation was 95 years old at the time of delivery.

In 2023, the Foundation paid a lot of attention to people whose homes were damaged by hostile shelling. The Foundation provided humanitarian aid in Dnipro and Kostiantynivka, Pavlohrad and Zaporizhzhia, Pokrovsk and Vasylivka.

Internally displaced people who left Mariupol, Maryinka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Popasna, and other most affected cities received regular assistance from the Foundation.

In addition, the Foundation organised the delivery of food parcels to the settlements on the frontline where civilians live despite all odds. These include Orikhiv, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Torske and others.

The Foundation did not stand aside from the catastrophe created by the russians after the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station - more than 10,000 food parcels were handed over to people affected by this disaster.

Since 2014, the Foundation has delivered 13 million food parcels to the people of Ukraine. Over this time, more than 18 million people have benefited from the assistance provided by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM businesses, and Shakhtar Football Club.

The assistance is provided under the Rinat Akhmetov Saving Lives programme.
