“We Are Very Grateful for Your Support”: IDPs in Kytaihorod Received Food Assistance Packages From the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation
The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation delivered food aid to Kytaihorod, Dnipropetrovsk region. It was intended for residents of two shelters — places where people who suffered from the armed hostilities temporarily live. Now there are many IDPs from Avdiivka, Mariupol, New York (Donetsk region), Toretsk and other settlements here.
One of the youngest residents of the shelter is one year and eight months old. He ended up here when he was only two weeks old... Everyone who is here needs support because everyone faced some losses.
“Humanitarian aid, and food in particular, is very important for us. I am thankful to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. It is not the first time when it brought it, and it is a really good humanitarian aid. Thank you very much,” says one of the shelter’s residents.
“We are very grateful that we are supported. When you find yourself in someone else’s place and in other people’s house, you always feel it. But we live on — what else remains to be done?” adds another resident.
The food assistance packages include some pasta, sugar, salt, flour, and cereals, as well as some canned beans, stewed meat, pate, cookies, and sunflower oil.
Since 2014, the Foundation has distributed 13 million food assistance packages to Ukrainians. Over this time, assistance from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM businesses and Shakhtar Football Club reached more than 18 million people. The assistance is provided within the framework of the program Rinat Akhmetov – Saving Lives.
