“We Want to Add More Joy to Life”: In Dnipro, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation Congratulated Displaced Children from Mariupol

30.12.2025

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation continues to support children. New Year’s greetings were also received by displaced children from Mariupol who are currently living in Dnipro. The event took place as part of the traditional New Year Campaign of the “Rinat Akhmetov – For Children!” program. For 25 years, it has been a symbol of care and support.

A rich program was prepared for the Mariupol children: engaging quests, team games, a photo zone, and a sea of bright emotions, surprises, and New Year cheer.

“Many thanks to Rinat Akhmetov and his team for doing this and giving us such moments of joy. It recharges us and gives us hope for a better future,” says Oksana, mother of the event’s participants.

“The program for the children is wonderful, my daughter is delighted! Animators, a singer’s performance, gifts. Children deserve a happy childhood. We are very grateful to the Foundation for holding such events for us, the people of Mariupol,” shares Daria, mother of one of the participants.

Together with the animators and fairytale characters, the children fully immersed themselves in an atmosphere of joy: they had fun, danced, sang, and savored every moment.

“There were animators, songs, various entertainment. But I liked the magic tricks the most — it was very interesting,” says 6-year-old Adelina.

“I liked how well the animators get along with the children. There were many of my friends here, and that lifted my mood even more. Such events are very important for us, because these are difficult times and we want to add a little more joy to life,” says 14-year-old Sofia.

The children were also delighted with the concert arranged for them by Mykyta Alekseev.

“Right now, we are laying the foundation that will help them remember their childhood warmly in the future. And I, too, like a battery, recharge from them. They laugh, they rejoice. It is precisely thanks to such moments that you truly feel happy,” says the singer.

The New Year activities took place at a social housing facility for displaced people from Mariupol, equipped by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. The Foundation systematically supports Mariupol residents, creating comfortable living conditions and organizing festive events. “We are sincerely grateful to the Foundation for caring about our children. The Foundation is a consistent and long-standing partner of the Mariupol City Council and the entire community of the city of Mariupol,” noted Oleksandr Khaliavinskyi, Head of the Mariupol Support Center in Dnipro.

The “Rinat Akhmetov – For Children!” program implements projects that comprehensively support boys and girls whose childhood was taken away due to russian aggression. Through the program, children undergo psychological and physical rehabilitation and are also able to develop and pursue their dreams. Over the course of its work, the Foundation’s assistance has reached more than 6 million children.

The New Year Campaign is part of the large-scale “Rinat Akhmetov – For Children!” program — a tradition that has continued uninterrupted for 25 years. The Foundation’s team organizes New Year greetings for children from vulnerable categories, as well as for those affected by the consequences of russia’s war against Ukraine.
