"Very useful and important": mobile teams of psychologists from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation gave a lecture on overcoming stress to students in Kryvyi Rih
A new stage of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation's project to provide psychological assistance to war victims continues: mobile teams of psychologists travel across Ukraine to help people who are experiencing increased psychological and emotional stress in wartime. Students of a vocational college in Kryvyi Rih received psychological support and practical tools to cope with stress at a group lecture on "How to cope with the trauma of war".
"I would like to thank Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for the training. Our students have learnt a lot about how to cope with stress, how to behave in a particular situation I think it is important now. Besides, it was very fun, emotional and interesting,' shared her impressions Iryna Borysova, head of one of the college's departments.
The young participants of the lecture admit that the war has brought a lot of stress and sadness into their lives. Most of the young people did not know about the exercises offered by the Foundation's psychologists before, and now they will be able to use them for self-help.
"It was useful, we learnt a lot. I wish there were more events like this where they tell you how to cope with stress," said Maksym, a college student.
The Foundation's mobile teams of psychologists work with residents of the frontline areas, medical and social workers, and high school students. In the near future, 14 such meetings will take place.
"The trauma of war is dangerous because if you do not seek professional help in time, it can turn into a complex of events that are very difficult to resolve later. Breathing exercises, grounding exercises, and art therapy techniques help to cope. It is very important at this time to remain a person who acts," explains Tetiana Kovalska, a psychologist at the Foundation.
More than 1,075,000 Ukrainians have already received psychological help from the Foundation during the war. For this purpose, 250 psychologists have been trained by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation in the Trauma of War course. More information is available at :
