Helping the country cope with global challenges. Part 3

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation purchased more than two hundred high-quality ventilators for public hospitals within the framework of the project Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine. Doctors received the first devices in March, and they are already saving lives. In June-July, two record shipments of modern equipment were delivered to the country. There were more than 100 pieces of equipment. This is the largest delivery of ventilators to Ukraine since the  beginning of the quarantine. Read more in the materials here and here.

JULY 2020

On 8 July, jointly with DTEK, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation transfered three ventilators to Rubizhne Central City Hospital (Luhansk Oblast).  This is part of a record batch of 70 ventilators delivered by the Foundation to Ukraine on 1 July.

On 9 July, jointly with SCM, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation transferred three ventilators to Sloviansk doctors. 

On 10 July, Velyka Novosilka Central District Hospital received a high-end ventilator from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and SCM.

On 13 July, Lysychansk Multi-Field Hospital received three modern ventilators from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK. 

On 14 July, jointly with DTEK, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation transferred three ventilators to Kamianka-Buzka Central District Hospital (Lviv Oblast).

"In February, Rinat Akhmetov was the first to help the country. He pooled the resources of the Charitable Foundation, FC Shakhtar, and other SCM assets to help Ukraine and allocated 300 million UAH to fight COVID-19 within the framework of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation's project Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine. They are aimed at addressing the country's critical medical needs: starting from personal protective equipment for doctors to sophisticated medical equipment for public hospitals that can save lives. "Ventilators are among the top priorities. Thus, the Foundation has purchased and is transferring more than 200 modern ventilators to Ukrainian doctors," Natalya Yemchenko, member of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation, said.

On 15 July, jointly with DTEK, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation  transferred four high-end ventilators to the Ivano-Frankivsk doctors. The Central City Clinical Hospital received two ventilators, and so did  City Clinical Hospital No. 1 within the framework of the project Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine.

On 16 July, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK transfered two high-end ventilators to the doctors of Halychyna Central Regional Hospital.

On the same day, doctors of Burshtyn Central City Hospital received a ventilator from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK.

On this day, two high-end ventilators manufactured in France were transferred by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and Metinvest to Mariupol City Emergency Hospital.

On 20 July, Volchanska Central District Hospital located in Kharkiv Oblast received a high-end ventilator from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

On 21 July, jointly with FC Shakhtar the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation  transferred a ventilator to Chuhuiv Central District Hospital. 

Two more modern ventilators were transferred to the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Specialized Dispensary for Radiation Protection of Citizenry.

On July 22, together with SCM, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation brought three ventilators to the Toretsk Central City Hospital. 

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and SCM also donated a modern ventilator to Sloviansk Central District Hospital in Donetsk Oblast.

On 23 July, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and Metinvest presented two modern ventilators to I.K. Matsuk Mariupol City Hospital No. 4.

On 28 July, jointly with Metinvest, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation handed over another batch of equipment to Kryvyi Rih doctors. Clinical hospital No. 8 received two high-end ventilators. Another four devices were delivered to City Hospital No. 7.

On 13 July, Pavlohrad Intensive Care Hospital received three modern ventilators from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK. 

On 30 July, Avdiivka Central City Hospital received a high-end ventilator from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and Metinvest.

On this day, jointly with DTEK, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundatio transfered five more modern and high-end ventilators to Yu. Lypa Lviv Regional Hospital of War Veterans and the  Repressed.

On 31 July, Zhovkva Central District Hospital received a high-end ventilator from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK.

AUGUST 2020

On 4 August, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK transferred a ventilator to Kalush Central District Hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

On 5 August, Horodenka Central District Hospital (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast) received a modern ventilator from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK.

On 6 August, the Rinat Akhmetov delivered three high-end ventilators to the doctors of Energodar Specialized Primary Healthcare Unit. 

Furthermore, on 6 August, Dniprorudne Multi-Field City Hospital of Intensive Care received four ventilators from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and Zaporizhzhia Iron-Ore Combine.

On 11 August, jointly with DTEK, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation delivered a ventilator to the doctors of Myrhorod Central District Hospital. 

On 12 August, jointly with Metinvest, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation delivered five high-end ventilator to Kamianske City Hospital No. 7 (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast).  

Chairman of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Bondarenko, expressed his gratitude to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM group of companies and Metinvest for their systematic assistance.

"The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is the reason we are delivering five ventilators to doctors today. We have been waiting for this equipment for so long.  Ventilators are considerable assistance to the region. We really appreciate what the Foundation and doctors do," Oleksandr Bondarenko said.

Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine, Yaroslav Kucher, noted that such assistance is very relevant now,

"We understand that we are waiting for the second coronavirus wave and we need to be prepared for it. I would not want anyone to end up in a hospital. I see that the work that had been done is professional. I see decent conditions, and I am calm about this particular medical facility.

On 13 August, jointly with Metinvest,  the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation delivered two modern ventilators manufactured in France to the doctors of Kryvyi Rih Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 1. 

On this day, the Foundation also gave a modern ventilator to the doctors of two city hospitals of Dnipro – No. 16 and No. 9. 

The main state hospitals have already received 106 high-end ventilators from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for the last six months. The project Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine, had a substantial positive impact on the overall quality of medical care in the country. The work is ongoing. 98 more ventilators of the highest class are being prepared to be transfered to doctors.
