Mobile aid: more than 5,000 residents of Novoazovsk and Telmanove raions received food and hygiene kits in August

02.09.2016

5,088 civilians from 57 settlements in Novoazovsk and Telmanove raions of Donetsk region received humanitarian aid from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center in August. Food packages and hygiene kits were issued to the most vulnerable categories of population.

"Residents of Donbas remote villages have strong demand for food and hygiene products. This fact is confirmed both by sociological research, when working on the Humanitarian map, and our "mobile" volunteers, who talk to local people every day. That's why Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center decided not only to deliver food, but also hygiene kits to the villages of Novoazovsk and Telmanove raions, located next to the contact line in so-called "red zone". In August the teams of mobile volunteers delivered 4,733 adult packages, 355 children food baskets and 3,740 hygiene kits to local residents of these settlements", ‒ Andrii Sanin, the Head of logistic centre at Donbas Arena, shared.

In September the Humanitarian Center's mobile team of volunteers is planning to deliver humanitarian aid to residents of Amvrosiivka raion.

"Altogether they've planned 16 trips to 57 settlements, including Artemivka, Blahodatne, Novoamvrosiivka and Rodnyky. The trips started today, on September 2", ‒ Andrii Sanin specified.
