Implementation year: 2019

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation implements special nationwide projects leaving impact on the whole sectors and areas. These projects improve lives of millions of Ukrainians.

In early July 2019, the Foundation launched a large-scale project 200 Ambulances for Ukraine upon the personal decision of Rinat Akhmetov.

Under this project, specially-equipped vehicles were provided to healthcare institutions in all regions of Ukraine. These vehicles are of three types: vehicles for emergency assistance to adult patients, vehicles for resuscitation of newborns, and off-road ambulances for use in mountainous and hard-to-access areas. These 200 ambulances will help medics save more than 1 million people every year. Today, many of these vehicles are involved in the fight the COVID-19 pandemic across the country.

200 Ambulances for Ukraine is the largest private charitable project in the field of emergency medicine during the 28 years of Ukraine’s independence.
