Restoring the Metropolitan’s House at Sophia of Kyiv National Sanctuary

Implementation years: 2006-2009

Thanks to support from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the Metropolitan’s House, a gem of the Ukrainian Baroque located at Sophia of Kyiv National Sanctuary, underwent complete restoration. In addition, the Foundation’s efforts helped launch the Metropolitan’s House international exhibition program featuring cooperation with one of the world’s most authoritative museums, the Louvre in Paris, France. In particular, an exhibition of bronze sculptures from Louis XIV’s collection was held in the Metropolitan’s House in 2008.
