Local residents of 75 villages in Amvrosiivka raion are provided with food products

12.02.2016

The humanitarian aid to 75 remote villages and settlements of Amvrosiivka raion in Donetsk region was delivered by mobile teams of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center.

"Over the month our volunteers issued 6,400 survival kits to local residents of this raion, having covered the total distance of 3,000 km on country roads. Everyone who received humanitarian aid – retired and disabled people, families with many children – are having difficult times in the remote Donbas villages. They face severe employment situation, complicated transport links between villages and a minimal range of goods in village shops. About 90% of those provided with food packages from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center are elderly people, who cannot physically leave their villages for food shopping", – Andriy Sanin, the Head of Humanitarian Center's logistic warehouse in Donetsk, comments the situation.

This week the volunteers started taking trips to Telmanove raion. It is planned to deliver humanitarian aid for local residents of more than 40 settlements till the end of February. You can see the schedule of mobile volunteers' trips here. You can also find out more information about humanitarian aid issuance via the Center's hotline: 0800 509 001.

The mobile team project of the Humanitarian Center was launched in May 2015. Mobile food delivery allows helping people in "grey zone" and remote villages in non-government-controlled areas, where there is no possibility to open a fixed issuing point.

As of February 12, 2016, the humanitarian aid from the Center's mobile volunteers was received by more than 95,000 people.
