“We will endure anything as long as our children return”: evacuated residents of Sumy region receive help from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation

Evacuation of the population has been launched in Sumy region as russia carries out brutal massive shelling of the border area every day and night. People who have taken refuge in the Lebedyn community are receiving help from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
“People come with one bag, sometimes even without documents. Food parcels are a real support for them, thanks to them, at least at first, they do not have to think about how to survive,” says Oksana, the head of one of the districts of Lebedyn community.
“I have four children. One daughter used to live in Sumy, she moved to me after the explosion happened in her yard. And my son went to the front from the first day of the invasion. He went missing. We will endure anything as long as our children return”, – says Hanna, a resident of Lebedyn.
