"We had a rest and learnt psychological techniques": the summer shift of Blogger Camp by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is over
Another shift of Blogger Camp has come to an end. This is a recreation organised by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for boys and girls affected by the war. This time, the children who were returned from russia took part in the camp again.
Each child received not only rehabilitation and memories of the Transcarpathian region, but also the help of psychologists who were trained by the Foundation and are able to work with war trauma. They also received new blogging skills and tips on how to choose a profession.
"I like it here. Especially when we all sit around the campfire," says Kyrylo, a 14-year-old from Izium.
His peer Orest from Hostomel is also enjoying his holiday.
"It's great here. Of course, the heat was annoying, but the pool is great and we have air conditioning. I also really liked the Blogger Camp here, and we learnt how to make videos,’ Orest shares his impressions.
He adds that the psychologists working in the camp ‘help to return to normal in the conditions of this war, to move away from it’. And that the techniques shared by the experts will be useful in different situations in the future.
Children who lost their parents during the war; children from foster families and family-type orphanages; children of guardians and adoptive parents; boys and girls living in the area where active hostilities are taking place; children from the de-occupied territories and children affected by the hostilities take part in each shift of the Blogger Camp.
Over 19 years, more than 5 million Ukrainian children have received support under Rinat Akhmetov to Children programme. More: https://akhmetovfoundation.org/rinat-ahmetov-dityam
