“There are people here who understand me”: The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s Blogger Camp is underway

05.02.2025

The Blogger Camp winter shift organized by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is underway in Transcarpathia. Boys and girls who suffered from the war rest and recover at the Camp. During this shift, children undergo art therapy sessions, sand therapy, psychological games, and creative workshops. This helps children express their emotions and experiences through creativity.

“There are people here who can understand me, who I can talk to, who support me in any situation. It’s also good that psychologists help, you can talk to them twice a day,” says 13-year-old Taras.

A feature of this change is that many children are actively seeking individual counselling. This allows them to work with their experiences, stabilize their psychological state, and find internal resources to overcome the consequences of the war.

“It’s like a breath of fresh air for these kids. After all, at home they can’t talk about a lot of things, they can’t relax - there’s constant danger there. Here, children can “unload” these difficult war stories through games, art therapy, and live communication,” explains the Foundation’s psychologist Liudmyla.

Also during this shift, children master blogging skills and learn online professions under the guidance of experienced mentors. The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s Blogger Camp pays special attention to outdoor exercises - they help children not only relax and gain strength, but also release accumulated stress caused by the war.
