“This Is Experience That Will Be Useful to Me in the Future”: Results of the Spring Session of Blogger Camp Organized by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation
The spring session of Blogger Camp, organized by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for children affected by the war and those who were successfully returned after being unlawfully taken to russia, has come to an end. Each session provides children with recreation, health improvement activities, psychological support, blogger skills training, career guidance activities, and plenty of entertainment.
This time, special activities were organized for the campers. Hip-hop artist and TV host KhAS conducted a motivational workshop on developing personal strengths. An interactive session on artificial intelligence also took place, featuring Maksym Balaniuk, Director of Innovation and Development at Metinvest Digital, Kateryna Sumarieva, Talent Development Manager at Metinvest Digital, and Oksana Ishchuk, Project Manager at the Foundation.
The campers say they appreciated the professional approach to the sessions, particularly the opportunity to develop blogging skills with the support of experienced mentors. They learned how to create high-quality content and present themselves with confidence. For some participants, this session even inspired them to seriously consider their future career paths.
“Today’s training inspired me to return to blogging. At Blogger Camp, I learned how to edit videos more professionally because we created personal introduction videos: we talked about our dreams and presented ourselves. Then we had to edit the video so that it looked professional and presentable,” says 16-year-old Dariia.
“For me, it was a push to try harder, express myself more, come up with new ideas, and create videos. This is experience that will be useful to me in the future. Most importantly, it gave me self-presentation skills,” shares 15-year-old Polina.
Throughout the entire session, the teenagers also worked with experienced psychologists who had completed specialized training under the War Trauma program developed by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
“I work with teenagers aged 15 to 16. This is a very important age from a psychological perspective. They are already thinking about future professions, and it is extremely important for them to understand their own resources and strengths. We explore how they can express themselves and what their leadership potential consists of. I believe that what I am seeing in these sessions right now reflects very profound transformations. The children are growing up right before our eyes,” says Yuliia Kriuchkova, psychologist at the Foundation.
Blogger Camp always offers engaging and diverse activities that help Ukrainian youth believe in their own strength, relax and improve their health outdoors, make new friends, and look confidently toward their own future and the future of their country despite the challenges of today.
Thanks to the program “Rinat Akhmetov - to Children. Peaceful Recreation for the Children of Ukraine,” nearly 5,000 children from different parts of the country have already had the opportunity to regain strength, find hope, and gain new impressions. Over 20 years of its work, the Foundation has provided support to more than 6 million children of Ukraine.
