"Now I have the strength to move on": a seriously injured resident of Dnipro received help in treatment from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation
Oleksandr and Anastasiia moved to Dnipro in early spring, and a month and a half later, a russian missile hit the house where they lived. Oleksandr was seriously injured. Rinat Akhmetov Foundation helped him by financing the metal structures needed to enable the 27-year-old man to walk again.
"This is a very valuable help for us: we have lost everything we had. I am very grateful to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation," says Oleksandr.
On that terrible night, he was covered with debris from the ceiling. The man did not immediately realise what had happened. He managed to dig himself out with great effort, and at the hospital, it turned out that Oleksandr was severely injured. He has a long recovery period ahead of him. His wife, Anastasiia, supports him every step of the way.
"Thank you for helping my husband. It warms my heart and gives me the strength to move on. Thanks to people and help, you believe in goodness and victory even more," the woman said.
As part of the programme "Treatment and Rehabilitation of Wounded Adults", Rinat Akhmetov Foundation provides assistance to Ukrainians who have suffered from hostile shelling of residential areas: treatment, rehabilitation, psychological help, etc.
