Rehabilitation of injured Donbas children: Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center continues receiving applications
Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center continues receiving applications for health improvement of injured Donbas children as part of its special program called "Rehabilitation of Injured Children". 29 children have already undertaken their rehabilitation courses in health resorts, two more were provided with rehabilitation equipment.
The rehabilitation program started on March 10, 2016. As of today, there are four children taking health improvement course in Zaporizhia. In early July four more children will come to the health resort.
Having assessed the demand for help, the Center decided to prolong the acceptance of applications till July 1, 2016. The program is intended for the whole year and the schedule is built in such a way to rehabilitate children during the summer holidays and autumn. In cases of emergency, if children need urgent help, the Humanitarian Center is ready to consider the possibility of participation in the program according to an individual schedule.
Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center provides assistance with rehabilitation of injured children in the following directions:
- treatment of neurological diseases;
- recovery of musculoskeletal system;
- rehabilitative treatment of internal organs;
- correction of state after operative long-term treatment;
- arthroplasty;
- limb and eye prostheses;
- adaptive rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation course for a child lasts 21 days and takes place in one of rehabilitation centres in Zaporizhia, Berdiansk, Sloviansk or Odesa.
