Over 2.5 mln survival kits were issued by Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center to Donbas civilians and IDPs

The Humanitarian Center issued 2 535 339 survival kits to elderly and disabled people, and other categories of peaceful residents and IDPs, entitled to benefits, who are residing in ATO area and GCA territory of Donbas.

Starting on August 22, 2014 and continuing through April 5, 2015 inclusive, 16 Humanitarian Aid Drives of Rinat Akhmetov delivered over 31 mln kg of humanitarian aid to 57 towns and districts of Donbas. 2,500 people were involved in organization and distribution of humanitarian aid. These are employees of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center, Shakhtar Football Club, SCM Group and volunteers.

"According to the goal set by Rinat Akhmetov, the Humanitarian Center continues helping Donbas civilians. In view of real humanitarian catastrophe, for many people this aid is actually a survival kit. In April we are increasing the intensity of food delivery, which will allow our Center to expand the categories of issuance at some issuing points in May, and increase the number of peaceful residents, receiving humanitarian aid," -Grigory Koldunov, Director of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center, shares.

In April Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center is planning to deliver 500,000 survival kits and 30,000 children kits for Donbas civilians. For this matter 10 convoys will be sent to Donbas during the month: 8 of them will be sent to Donetsk and 2 will arrive in Mariupol. The aid is aimed for civilians, residing in ATO area, along the contact line and to the benefit-entitled categories of IDPs, residing in government-controlled areas of Donbas.
