10.11.2016

The work of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center on fuel dispatch has started. As of November 10, more than 120 families in the town received free coal to heat their homes in the winter season.

"By decision of Rinat Akhmetov the Center provides targeted assistance to Novohrodivka residents, who found themselves in difficult situation.  It was planned to help 380 families of the former employees of the local mines, whose names were mentioned in the application. And also 100 of the most distressed categories of the town's population ‒ families with many children, families with disabled people, single parents. We were provided with the list of retired miners as of 2014. Since then some of the recipients left the town, died or it's impossible to contact them. Now there are 370 families on the list", ‒ Andrii Khvorostianko, Program and Project Manager at the Humanitarian Center, shared.

Each family will receive 2.95 tons of coal for the winter. During the month fuel will be delivered to all recipients. The volume of humanitarian aid from the Center makes more than 1,000 tons of coal.
