Dialogues about memory: a public interview with Nataliia Kryvda will take place as part of the VOICES exhibition of the Museum of Civilian Voices of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation

25.03.2024

How to work with the topic of memory and what is the role of various institutions in its preservation? These and other issues will be discussed during a public discussion with Nataliia Kryvda, PhD. The event will take place as part of the VOICES multimedia exhibition organised by the Museum of Civilian Voices of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

The conversation will be moderated by cultural critic and curator Anastasiia Platonova.

Questions to be discussed:

  •  Who and how is working with the topic of memory in Ukraine now and who currently has the most influence in this area?
  •  How do these organisations or institutions function during the war?
  •  How is the field of memory preservation developing in Ukraine in general?
  •  Who should be responsible for the development of a remembrance culture and war memorialisation both now and in the future?

At the end of the talk, everyone will be able to ask the speaker their questions.

The VOICES exhibition is a multimedia space of the Museum of Civilian Voices of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, which, in particular, presents some of the stories from the Museum's collection. With this event, the Museum opens a series of cultural events dedicated to preserving the memory of the war. The purpose of this interview is to tell the general public about the importance of perpetuating memory, as well as to start a live dialogue between the Museum of Civilian Voices and the audience.
