New format of humanitarian aid delivery and issuance

25.01.2016

Starting from January 25, 2016, the Humanitarian Center switches for a new format of humanitarian aid delivery and issuance. The priority of food delivery to the towns in government-controlled areas will be given to the teams of mobile aid issuance. This format has proven itself in logistics and mobility.

Residents of those settlements, where humanitarian aid is planned to be delivered by mobile volunteers, are notified in advance via the Humanitarian Center's website and through announcements in public places. Humanitarian aid will be issued in the "first come first served" mode. There is no need to get special tickets for aid in these settlements anymore.

The Humanitarian Center will preserve its fixed issuing points on the government-controlled territory in ten settlements of a so-called "grey zone". These are Svitlodarsk, Myronivsky, Novhorodsky, Marinka, Krasnohorivka and Avdiivka in Donetsk region and Stanytsia Luhanska, Popasna raion, Novoaidar raion and Schastia in Luhansk region.

In January-February 2016 the teams of mobile aid issuance in government-controlled areas will be working in Druzhkivka, Sloviansk, Dymytrove, Kurakhove and Mariupol of Donetsk region.

The mobile teams will also continue delivering humanitarian packages to the most remote settlements on both sides of the contact line.
