"We have lost everything. Thank you for not letting us die." Rinat Akhmetov Foundation helps people in the frontline areas
Despite the risks and dangers, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation systematically supports the residents of frontline settlements. Residents of the village of Stavki, Kramatorsk District, Donetsk Region, received food packages from the Foundation.
"People need food, but they have no money to buy it. Many people have lost their jobs. If pensioners at least receive a pension, young people have nothing," says Nataliia Sukhanova, the head of the village.
"Rinat Akhmetov Foundation will not let me die. I have no money for bread, my house burned down, I don't get a pension. There is no one to help. Thank you," said one of the locals.
According to Mykola Osychenko, the Foundation's ambassador and head of Mariupol TV, it is very dangerous here: the village is close to the contact line. russia has also left mines and tripwires everywhere.
"Thank you for bringing the aid. We have a 20-hectare vegetable garden in the village, but we are waiting for the sappers - anything can be there," says Svetlana, a local resident who returned home after the de-occupation.
Since the start of the full-scale war, the Foundation has sent 380,000 food packages to residents of Donetsk region and those who have temporarily evacuated from the region.
Since 2014, the Foundation has provided 13 million food packages to Ukrainians. The assistance is provided under Rinat Akhmetov Saving Lives programme.
