17.06.2024

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine has expressed its gratitude to The Museum of Civilian Voices by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for its significant contribution to the preservation of Ukraine's national memory through the collection, storage and dissemination of testimonies of Ukrainians about the Russian-Ukrainian war, in particular through the VOICES Exhibition, which seeks to reveal the depth and power of Ukrainian stories.

The VOICES Exhibition opened the multimedia space of The Museum of Civilian Voices by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the largest online collection of stories about the war in Ukraine directly from eyewitnesses in Ukraine and the world, which already contains more than 110,000 live stories. They can be found on the Museum's portal: https://civilvoicesmuseum.org/. The Exhibition is an emotionally profound experience that allows every visitor to feel what Ukraine is going through. The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy emphasises that the Museum systematically documents and preserves the oral history of Ukraine and brings to the public the testimonies of survivors about the war crimes of the russian federation to restore justice. Several of the Museum's heroes were witnesses at the People's Tribunal in The Hague. Stories from the Museum become the basis for documentaries about the war in Ukraine.

The Museum develops international cooperation, implements cooperation with foreign universities in the fields of education and science, information and educational activities, organises thematic events in Europe and Ukraine with the involvement of world experts, conducts interviews with world historians, thinkers, artists, specialists in the field of preserving national memory, and supports documentary filmmakers.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine stressed that The Museum of Civilian Voices by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation significantly contributes to preserving Ukraine's historical memory and restoring justice in the future.

MCIP recommends the VOICES Exhibition be shown in Europe and the United States to draw attention and remind the international community that Ukraine needs strong systemic support in russia's war against Ukraine to guarantee world security, ensure the rule of democratic values, and establish a just peace.
