"Help is a matter of survival": Rinat Akhmetov Foundation continues to distribute food packages to IDPs from Selydove in Kamianske
Evacuation from the Selydove community in Donetsk region continues. Many people are settling down in Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region. Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has provided them with 1,000 food packages. The deliveries are made at the humanitarian hub SELYDOVE.UA.
"We are not eloquent, but this is very, very important support for us. We are receiving it for the first time and we are grateful, because it is a matter of survival," Oksana, a mother of many children from Selydove, says.
She adds that every news about the consequences of the war in her city is a deep pain in her heart.
"We are grateful to the military administration of Selydove and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for providing humanitarian aid, it is very much needed in our time of war," says Anna, an IDP from Selydove.
The SELYDOVE. UA IDP centre started operating in Kamianske in August. According to its employee Nataliia Anokhina, it is more than a necessity for people who have moved from the hot spots:
"We have known Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for a long time and it has always been a timely support. Now a lot of people have left, in particular, to Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions. We look forward to further cooperation," says Nataliia.
Each food package contains pasta, sugar, salt, flour, cereals, sunflower oil, canned beans, stewed meat, pate and biscuits.
Since 2014, the Foundation has donated 13 million food packages to the people of Ukraine. The assistance is provided under Rinat Akhmetov Saving Lives programme.
