The 313th column of the Rinat Akhmetov Center arrived in Mariupol

30.04.2018

Today, on April 30, the motorcade of the Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center arrived in Mariupol. Nine trucks delivered 180 tons of humanitarian aid to the logistics center. These are the products, from which survival kits will be formed for the neediest inhabitants of Donbas: elderly people, children, people with disabilities, large families, single parents.

"More than 19,000 people will receive aid in May", said Mikhail Katerynchak, project manager of the "Aid to the Population” project of the Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center. These are residents of 32 settlements located in the "gray zone". Most of these villages and settlements are ruined, people have to live under fire in constant fear. Many of the settlements are completely cut off from the outside world, there is no electricity and communication, there are interruptions of drinking water supply, people have nowhere to buy food. Survival kits are salvation from hunger for these people".

According to the UN data, today Ukraine is the only European country whose residentss are in dire need of humanitarian assistance, primarily in food.

The main task of the Rinat Akhmetov Center, which operates for the fourth year, is to prevent a humanitarian crisis in Donbas and to help as many people as possible.

During its operation, the Center delivered over 12 million survival kits on both sides of the demarcation line.
