Campaing Rinat Akhmetov to Children!: 18 years of good tradition

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation congratulated  pupils of Mariupol secondary boarding school No 2 of 1-2 grades on the coming day of St. Nicholas in the framework of the Action "Rinat Akhmetov - for children!".

This year the Action celebrated its "age of majority". 18 years ago Rinat Akhmetov met children from boarding schools and orphanages for the first time. And since then, the tradition of good and personal participation in such meetings has not been interrupted, the Action becomes bigger and brighter.

"Personal participation in helping every child is always important for Rinat Akhmetov. And this year the ambassadors of his Action were the stars of the TV Channel "Ukraine". They will help children to become superheroes - to reveal their talents and abilities. Everyone is able to overcome any obstacles. "The main thing is to recognize your talent, your gift, because everyone has it and is always unique. It is also important to use it for the benefit of other people," said Roman Rubchenko, Director of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

This year's event is held in a new format under the motto "Your superpower inside you". Oleg Panyuta, famous TV presenter of the TV Channel "Ukraine", came visited Mariupol boarding school together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation to help children have confidence in themselves, to show the variety of opportunities for self-realization, to motivate to achieve great goals in life. He told the guys that a few rules will help to succeed in life.

"The main challenge in life is to challenge yourself. To conquer your fear, doubt, laziness, desire to feel sorry for yourself, to cut some slag. You need to start fighting for your dream, for your future now. You need to play "you wouldn't dare" all the time.  To achieve a great goal by small daily victories", - said the Ambassador of the Fund.

The visit of the Foundation found a lively response among the children present. They shared their dreams with enthusiasm. As it turned out, most of the pupils of the boarding school have quite earthly desires. Although sometimes they are quite unexpected.

"I want to become a taxi driver. And also - to bring good to people", - the first-grader Lyuba told.

At the end of the motivational meeting all the children received gifts from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. As it turned out, they also prepared a surprise – they created a picture with their own hands, which they asked to give to Rinat Akhmetov.

"Many thanks to Rinat Leonidovich. It was very cool and interesting", - warmly thanked the children to the Creator of the Action.

Over the past 4 years alone, about 600 000 children have received gifts from Rinat Akhmetov.

In addition, more than 50 family-type orphanages have received assistance from Rinat Akhmetov in the framework of the Action since 2001. Also, the Ukrainian benefactor provided financial assistance to 10 hospitals and 20 residential institutions.
