643 packages with medications are issued to severely ill children from Donbas. How to get this aid?
643 packages with special medications were received by children from Donbas who suffer severe chronic diseases. This aid was provided by Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center as part of its 'Medications for Children' program.
All applications came from parents via the Humanitarian Center's hotline. More than half of children are in urgent need of anticonvulsants, there is a high demand for insulin and anti-asthma drugs. 200 families from non-government-controlled areas cannot get their help yet. They have no possibility to leave for peaceful territory and pick their medications.
'Medications for Children' program was launched in October 2015. The goal is to provide Donbas children having serious chronic diagnoses with special drugs that are suitable for them exclusively.
The medications are issued by the Humanitarian Center to children under 18 living in non-government-controlled areas and IDPs staying on the peaceful territory of Donbas. They can be received only in the pharmacies of Artemivsk, Mariupol and Kramatorsk (Donetsk region).
The applications are accepted via the Humanitarian Center's hotline: 0800 509 001. More details on who can get medications and how are shown in our infographics.
