6th National Festival of Social Advertisement has announced the winners in the nomination “Let’s stop Tuberculosis in Ukraine”


“They don’t know where their parents are, TB does!” – this was the name of the prize-winning video-work presented before the professional jury of the 6th National Festival of Social Advertisement by the student of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics Alina Rodionova.

Alina took the first prize in the nomination “Let’s stop Tuberculosis in Ukraine” initiated by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation “Development of Ukraine”, the partner of the Festival.

Second prize was shared by NTUU “KPI” student Maria Kulikova with her series of 4 posters “Myths about TB” and journalists of Odesa newspaper “Porto-Franko”, Oleksandr Halias and Inna Ischuk with their article “Mission: to Overcome Tuberculosis “.

The jury awarded the third prize to Anna Matiukhina of the Advertising Agency “Media Craft” for the series of 3 posters “When it is 2% - it is an epidemic” or “Tubik Rubit”.

Total prize money for the nomination “Let’s stop Tuberculosis in Ukraine” was 11,500 UAH.

Yevheniy Romat, Head of the Advertisers Union of Ukraine, one of the Festival founders and the organizer of the 6th NFSA noted: “This year the festival has received a new life. And this is related not only to the new title theme, new partners and new format. From the time of the previous Festival, Ukrainian society has raised one more step up to understanding the necessity and importance of social communications”.

“When creating this nomination we wanted to receive materials to help us and our partners to actualize TB topic among Ukrainians in future and show that it is simply another illness which can and must be treated. We were pleasantly surprised by the quantity of works submitted for participation in the contest. Participants demonstrated responsible and creative attitude towards highlighting the problem, therefore, it was hard to choose the winners. After long debates, the jury chose the works reflecting TB issues in the brightest and simple-to-understand way for potential target audience” noted Kateryna Zasukha, PR Director of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation “Development of Ukraine”.

807 works from around Ukraine were presented during the 6th National Festival of Social Advertisements. Among the authors of the social advertising works of 2012 are professional advertising agencies, state and non-governmental organizations, the foundation. Advertisers Union of Ukraine and the First marketing journal in Ukraine “Marketing and Advertisement” were the organizers of the 6th NFSA. More details about the festival can be found at:
