45,000 survival kits are delivered by the Humanitarian Center's united convoy to Donetsk
The united convoy with food products from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center arrived in Donetsk on November 19. These are the convoys #124 and #125 that were sent to Donbas over the whole period of the Center's operation. 620 tons of food were delivered to the logistic centre at Donbas Arena. Tomorrow the volunteers will start unloading it and forming 45,000 food packages for adult civilians from non-government-controlled areas.
During the daytime 31 trucks went through customs inspection at Novotroitske checkpoint with the full package of supporting documents, confirming the cargo composition and product quality. You can see the documents for cargo here.
This week the Humanitarian Center fulfilled the plan of humanitarian aid deliveries to Donbas. 920 tons of supplied food will be used to form 75,000 survival kits. This will allow to replenish food stocks at the fixed issuing points and continue the trips of mobile volunteers to villages and small towns of Donetsk region located near the contact line.
"The volunteers of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center deliver humanitarian aid to the so-called "grey zone", which was formed after withdrawal of weapons on both sides of the contact line. Now this is one of the main goals in our work. Assistance with food is much demanded there, and we'll keep providing it, because no other humanitarian mission had a chance to deliver aid to the population of these towns", – Oleksandr Vyshniakov, the Humanitarian Center's Directors, shares.
As of November 19, 2015, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued 5,390,000 adult packages and 392,000 children packages on both sides of the contact line.
