369,000 food packages will be delivered by Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center in July

29.06.2016

In July 2016 Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center is planning to deliver 369,000 food packages for the most vulnerable categories of Donbas population. This was announced by Rimma Fil, the Humanitarian Center's Coordinator, during the online conference in 'Segodnya Multimedia.

"The Humanitarian Center continues performing the goal set by Rinat Akhmetov, i.e. deliver humanitarian aid to Donbas civilians as long as they need it. We see how much this aid is demanded and needed by people who are left face to face with war. That is why the Humanitarian Center continues its operation, providing the same volumes for the same benefit-entitled categories the way it was done during the last 22 months. In July it is planned to send 11 truck convoys to logistic centres in Donetsk and Mariupol, they will deliver 4,160 tons of food. This amount of food will be used to form 333,000 adult survival kits and 36,000 packages for families with babies under 35 months old", ‒ Rimma Fil informed.

In addition to food package stock replenishment in 38 Center's fixed issuing points the scheduled trips of convoys will secure the work of mobile teams. The trips are planned to 58 settlements in "grey zone" and non-government-controlled areas of Donetsk region. They include: Buhas, Ocheretyne, Karlivka, Artemove, Pishchovyk, Myrne, Pavlopil, Kirove, Hranitne, Chermalyk, Prymorske, Pionerske, Tonenke and Verkhniotoretske.

In July the Center's mobile teams are planning to issue 16,000 survival kits to local civilians and benefit-entitled IDPs living in these settlements. The schedule of mobile teams' visits in July, including the list of dates and settlements that are planned to be visited, will be shortly published on the Humanitarian Center's website

As of June 29, 2016, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued 8,638,000 survival kits for adult civilians and children on both sides of the contact line.
