16.05.2015

On May 16, at 20:15, the largest convoy of May, a part of the 19th Humanitarian Aid Drive of Rinat Akhmetov arrived in Donetsk with food products for adults and children – peaceful residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, not controlled by Ukrainian government.

34 heavy duty trucks delivered 680 tons of products to the logistic centre at Donbas Arena stadium.

To form 50,000 of renewed survival kits for adults, they delivered sugar, cereals, peas, flour, oat flakes, pasta, sunflower oil, condensed milk, salt, canned sardines and pate.

The load also contains vegetable and fruit purée for children, baby formula and porridges, semolina and oat flakes to form 11,000 children food packages.

Today the volunteers from Shakhtar Football Club will start discharging products and forming food packages, after sticking each product with special sign: "Humanitarian Aid. Not for sale".

The entire humanitarian load as part of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Aid Drive meets the quality standards, and before sending to Donbas it was registered in the Ministry of Social Policy as humanitarian aid in compliance with the latest legal requirements.

With all necessary permit documents today the convoy passed Ukrainian customs and all checkpoints. You can see the documents for cargo here.

This week the Humanitarian Center sent three convoys with products to Donbas as part of the 19th Humanitarian Aid Drive. 132,000 survival kits for adults and children were delivered to logistic centres of Mariupol, on May 13, and Donetsk, on May 14 and 16; the aid is aimed for civilians of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, living on both sides of the contact line.

Also this week our volunteers issued the third millionth survival kit in one of the Humanitarian Center's issuing points. All together there are more than 60 issuing points in Donetsk and Luhansk regions in ATO area, government-controlled areas and on the contact line.

Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center keeps on providing Donbas civilians with food packages. In May the Humanitarian Center is planning to deliver 350,000 food packages for adults and 42,000 children food baskets.
