Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center resumes the issuance of formulas for babies from 0 to 6 months old

04.02.2016

Today, on February 4, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center resumes the issuance of children packages with formulas for babies from 0 to 6 months old. This was announced by Rimma Fil, the Humanitarian Center's Coordinator, during the online conference in 'Segodnya Multimedia'.

The Humanitarian Center was forced to suspend the issuance of these packages due to supplier's impossibility to provide baby formulas in the demanded volume. To support families that raise artificially fed children, it was decided to make a temporary replacement of these children packages for nursing mother sets.

"The Humanitarian Center is working with a great number of suppliers. Not all contractors can produce the amount of products that we purchase every month.  The interruption of December deliveries was due to the supplier's fault. At the moment there are no problems with baby formulas delivery", ‒ Rimma Fil explained.

As a reminder, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center supported the initiative of UNICEF and the World Health Organization in October 2015. To promote breastfeeding among the mothers who suffered due to Donbas conflict, the Humanitarian Center changed the composition of food packages for children. Babies from 0 to 11 months old are offered two types of food packages: a set for nursing mother's maintenance or a set of baby formulas (when artificial feeding). Children from 12 to 35 months old are gradually switching for adult nutrition and receive the corresponding food packages.
