Residents of the «grey zone» are provided with humanitarian aid from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center

16.05.2017

Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center continues helping civilians living in the armed conflict area in Donbas. Recently the Center's mobile teams visited "grey zone" settlements – Talakivka and Hnutove villages.

Over the past week the Center's volunteers issued more than 1,000 survival kits here, for many local residents these packages are the only source of livelihood.

"In Talakivka and Hnutove the Humanitarian Center's volunteers issued 975 adult survival kits and 32 children food packages. Residents of the "grey zone" especially need support. The infrastructure of these villages is destroyed by hostilities and it has a negative impact on the humanitarian situation. Many people lost their jobs and found themselves on the brink of survival. Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center is helping them to cope with their trouble", – Mykhailo Katerynchak, the Head of Humanitarian Aid direction, shares.

Altogether, during the entire period of the Center's operation they issued 11.7 million children and adult food packages on both sides of the contact line.
