The autumn session of the “Blogger Camp,” organized by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for children affected by the war, has come to an end
Vivid impressions, new friends, full relaxation and psychological support—this is the experience that the autumn session of the “Blogger Camp” by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has left with its participants. The children have returned home already, filled with energy, positive emotions and confident about the future. A special guest of the session was Svitlana Tarabarova— a singer, songwriter, composer, music producer and actress. During her meetings with the participants, she emphasized the importance of psychological support for children and youth during wartime.
“As a mother, and simply as a person living in a country at war, I believe psychological support is as essential as brushing your teeth or washing your face in the morning. Right now, we simply cannot manage without it. Therefore, at every step, we need to instill in children’s minds especially, the importance of caring for their inner well-being. We must teach our children to release negative energy, to relax their bodies after stressful experiences, like shelling and air raids. They need to learn how to recover. We need to highlight these aspects for children, as they are essential for their mental and emotional growth,” - Svitlana stressed.
The Foundation organizes “Blogger Camp” sessiones for boys and girls aged 10–16 who have been affected by the war in Ukraine. Each session provides the children with a whirlwind of adventures, varied activities and enriching communication with each other, the Foundation’s team, and with prominent media professionals who visit them.
Svitlana Tarabarova hosted motivational sessions for the children, filled with discussions, helpful psychological exercises, singing, hugs, and new videos, that encouraged the children to show the world who they are. During their stay at camp, the children learned blogging skills, spent plenty of time outdoors, played, communicated, engaged in creative activities, and received qualified support from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s psychologists, specializing in overcoming war trauma.
Participants in “Blogger Camp” within the “Rinat Akhmetov to Children. Peaceful Recreation for Children of Ukraine” project include children who were returned to Ukraine after being illegally taken to Russia; children who have lost parents due to the war; children from foster families and family-type orphanages; children with guardians or adoptive parents; children from regions with ongoing conflict, those affected by hostilities, and children from recently liberated territories.
Thanks to the project, nearly 5,000 children from across the country have rested, recovered, and received psychological assistance. Throughout the year, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation implements educational, wellness, rehabilitation, psychological, and motivational projects for all Ukrainian children and teenagers.
Over 19 years, more than 5 million children in Ukraine have received support through the “Rinat Akhmetov— To Children” program. Follow updates and announcements about new “Blogger Camp” sessions: https://bit.ly/405m0wX.
