The Humanitarian Center's volunteers delivered 35,000 food packages to the homes of lonely elderly and disabled people. How to file an application for address delivery?

07.09.2016

35,840 food packages were delivered to the homes of lonely elderly and disabled people by volunteers of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center. Address delivery of food is provided in Donetsk, Makiivka, Khanzhonkove, Khartsyzk, Yenakiieve, Snizhne, Shakhtarsk and Torez.

There are hundreds of lonely elderly and disabled people living in non-government-controlled areas of Donbas. Due to serious diseases they cannot leave their homes. Therefore, the only means of their survival are food packages that are being delivered to their homes by volunteers of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center.

"We see that the need for address delivery of humanitarian aid is not reducing with the course of time. Lonely and severely ill elderly and disabled people still remain the most vulnerable category of humanitarian aid recipients. Being bedridden, these people cannot leave for peaceful areas and restore their social payments there. And there is no one to take care of them at home as well – even if their relatives show up, their visits are rare and short. That is why our food packages are life-saving for them", ‒ Mykhailo Katerynchak, the Manager of "Humanitarian Aid" direction at Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center, shares.
