The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s Hotline Received Over 15,000 Calls From Full-Scale War Outbreak

16.04.2022

During 50 days of the full-scale war, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s hotline received more than 15,000 calls. Their largest number was registered in the regions most affected by the war, in particular, regional centres and settlements in Kyiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.

Every day, the Foundation’s hotline operators receive hundreds of phone calls with requests to help evacuate civilians to safe places, provide medicines and food assistance packages for residents of the hottest spots in Ukraine (Izium, Chernihiv, Mangush, Kramatorsk and other places), provide assistance to IDPs and more.

It is important to note that despite the difficult situation in the lives of Ukrainians, they are eager to take care of those who need it most, namely children. Thus, from 24 February 2022 until now, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s hotline has received 171 requests for child adoption.

Over this period, the hotline has pooled together the efforts of more than 320 volunteers who continue to prepare food assistance packages for people from all over the country.

The Foundation’s hotline operators deserve particular gratitude. They are the voice and soul of the organization. They, like no one else, are able to hear and share other people’s pain, as most of them go through the war for the second time. For them, this is not just a job, but also a real calling, a sincere desire to help people and contribute to our common victory.

0 800 509 001 is not just the number of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s hotline. These are the figures that have changed the destinies of thousands of people. Calls are free for subscribers of all mobile operators.
