"This is a huge help for us": families with many children in frontline Dobropillia received food packages from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation
Despite the difficult situation, there are many families with children in the frontline town of Dobropillia, Donetsk region. Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has provided 2,000 food packages for large families, families of privileged categories and IDPs with children. The distribution is now finished.
"Thank you very much for not forgetting about ordinary people in such a difficult time. This is a huge help for us," said Anna, a mother of three.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, her family has left and returned home. According to Mykola Osychenko, the Foundation's ambassador and head of Mariupol television, this is one of the typical stories of local residents: people say that "home is home".
"We are very pleased when Rinat Akhmetov Foundation visits, because thanks to you we can reach more categories of people with help. It is very important for us," said Inessa Khoroshavina, Head of the Humanitarian Centre in Dobropillia.
Since the start of the full-scale war, the Foundation has sent 380,000 food packages to residents of Donetsk region and those who have temporarily evacuated from the region.
Since 2014, the Foundation has provided 13 million food parcels to Ukrainians. The assistance is provided under Rinat Akhmetov Saving Lives programme.
