‘’I can hear now‘’: children with hearing impairments receive modern hearing aids from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation
Children under 7 years old with hearing problems use state-of-the-art hearing aids provided by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. The high-tech gadgets are individually adjusted to the hearing characteristics of each boy or girl. Thanks to them, children can hear the voices of their closest people - and the whole world.
Hearing care doctors highly appreciate the devices that children receive thanks to the Foundation.
"These are artificial intelligence devices, the best for children. They have a clear natural sound in real time and reproduce exactly the sound that people with normal hearing can hear,' explains Galyna Ivashchenko, an audiologist.
"A hearing aid compensates for hearing loss completely. Thanks to hearing aids, a child develops better, starts to speak normally and can go to a regular school later,’ says Vladyslav Ustianskyi, a surgeon at the Hearing Centre.
The mother of 4-year-old Yaroslava from Sumy region found information about the opportunity to receive hearing aids from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation on the Internet.
"We are very grateful for this help, because it is difficult to raise the money for a hearing aid. There is still a lot of work to be done, but we have the devices and something to work with," says the girl's mother.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Khrystyna from Odesa and her little Pavlo went abroad, but returned because of her son's hearing problems. They contacted Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for help.
"Pavlo started going to kindergarten. There, during an air raid, children are transferred to a shelter. He already knows and understands that the alarm is a necessity," says Khrystyna.
