Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center will help an injured 5-month-old girl from Marinka

Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center will help with medical treatment of a 5-month-old girl from Marinka, who was injured during the shelling – the fragments hit her in the stomach.

"Tonight the child was urgently taken to Dnipropetrovsk hospital and immediately operated. The girl's condition is critical, she is in a state of shock and on artificial lung ventilation.  She urgently needs medications (antibiotics, solutions) and food. The Humanitarian Center is already purchasing all the required medications.

At midnight direct fire hit the house, the baby was next to her mother. The house was located next to the checkpoint, the military people saw the hit and were the first to come for help.

The baby was taken to the hospital in Kurakhove, the operation lasted from 1.00am till 5.00am, and then the child was taken to Dnipropetrovsk by helicopter. Now she is in the intensive care department. This family has three children: 12 years old, 5 years old and 5 months old. The father is staying with elder children at their neighbours, as the house is destroyed, there's no roof and walls are damaged, – Rimma Fil, the Coordinator at Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center, informed.

As a reminder, today, on August 18, Marinka suffered shelling at nearly 1 am. According to the Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Donetsk region, one of the shells exploded in the private sector on Ordzhonikidze street, where the family lived with the 5-month-old baby.
