Over 400,000 survival kits in August: aid delivery plans of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center

02.08.2016

401,500 food packages for Donbas civilians are planned to be delivered by Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center. 210 heavy-duty trucks with humanitarian aid will be sent to the Center's logistic warehouses in Donetsk and Mariupol.

"We are planning to send 12 convoys in August. The trucks will set off four times a week. This schedule allows to deliver 4,300 tons of food to form over 400,000 packages. This volume is enough to secure the operation of our fixed issuing points and mobile volunteers' trips on both sides of the contact line", - Oleksandr Vyshniakov, the Humanitarian Center's Director, said.

The first two convoys of the month set off to Donetsk and Mariupol on the 1st and 2nd of August. Aside from the package stock replenishment in 38 fixed issuing points of the Humanitarian Center, the scheduled convoy trips will secure the operation of mobile teams in the contact line settlements and remote villages of Donetsk region.

Altogether the mobile volunteers will visit 100 settlements. They include: Pisky, Opytne, Novotroitske, Mayorsk, Zhovanka, Hnutove and Bezimenne. The schedule of mobile teams' trips for August with the list of dates and settlements to be delivered food packages can be found here.

As of August 2, 2016 Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued more than 9,100,000 adult and children survival kits on both sides of the contact line.
