58,000 food packages for Donbas civilians are delivered to Donbas Arena
The united convoy with food products from Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center arrived in Donetsk on December 2. These are the convoys ## 129 and 130 that were sent to Donbas over the whole period of the Center's operation. 660 tons of food to form 58,000 survival kits for civilian adults and children, living in non-government-controlled areas, have been delivered to the logistic warehouse of Donbas Arena.
Today 33 trucks went through customs inspection at Novotroitske checkpoint with the full package of supporting documents confirming the cargo composition and product quality. You can see the documents for cargo here.
Two more convoys will be sent by the Humanitarian Center to Donetsk until the end of the week. Altogether, during December 1-5, it is planned to deliver over 120,500 food packages to the Humanitarian Center's logistic warehouses in Donetsk and Mariupol.
Over 1.5 years of its operation Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued more than 5.5 million adult survival kits on both sides of the contact line. 65% of beneficiaries are elderly people over 65 years old, where 8,500 people are older than 90.
"People receiving our humanitarian aid are the low-income individuals, who lived in difficult conditions back in the peacetime. And during the war this aid is really saving human lives. More than 20,000 Donbas residents receive the Humanitarian Center's aid every day. We are working on both sides of the contact line, and most importantly, in the "grey zone". As of December 2, 2015, Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center issued 5,577,000 adult packages and 407,000 children packages on both sides of the contact line.
