Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center has issued 62,000 product packages to the civilians of the Stanytsia Luhanska district
The largest fixed distribution center of the Luhansk region operates in Stanytsia. 62,000 product packages have been issued there since 2014. The assistance is given to the residents of not only the village, but also of the whole area.
Today, the humanitarian situation in the Stanytsia Luhanska district stirs particular control of OSCE observers. A large number of civilians remains there. Many houses are destroyed, people live on air and have to scrape by.
According to Oleksandr Vyshniakov, the Director of Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center, the regular help to civilians in the Stanytsia Luhanska district is more than four thousand adult and children's product packages. Moreover, the number of adult product packages have been increasing recently, as Stanytsia with its pedestrian checkpoint is a connecting link between the territories. The elderly people and those in need of the Center’s assistance come from the uncontrolled territory.
The product packages are given every 60 days.
Oleksandr Vyshniakov noted that “Over the three years of operation, Rinat Akhmetov Center have covered with humanitarian aid more than 750 settlements on both sides of the demarcation line, and during this time almost 12 million adult and children's product packages have been issued.”
Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Center was established on August 6, 2014 in order to provide maximum assistance to all civilians of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
